Enjoy the America's Cup sailing competition at the Olympic Port

Barcelona will host the 37th edition of the America's Cup, the oldest sporting competition in history and the most important in the world of sailing, which will take place between August 22 and the end of October 2024. It is also considered the third sporting event with the greatest impact after the Olympic Games and the Football World Cup.

The event will take place in the Port Vell area and up to the Port Olímpic. The race course will be set up in front of the beaches of San Sebastian, San Miguel, Barceloneta and Somorrostro, making it easy to follow the competition live from the viewpoint of the Port Olímpic.

Both the Dic de Recer of the Port Olímpic and the rest of the points for spectators will be completely free and open to the public from the beginning of the competition.

The privileged views of the Dic de Recer will allow to enjoy the competition to the maximum.

The races will be held between 14.00 and 16.00 hours, and can be followed from the beaches of the city. Times may change depending on the weather conditions of the day.

The organizer, America's Cup Event Barcelona (ACE), has also prepared spaces to enhance the experience of the event, with giant screens. In the beach area, there will be “Fan Zones” in the Plaza del Mar and in the surroundings of the Bogatell.

The Port Olímpic, a privileged viewpoint to enjoy the America's Cup sailing competition

The Dic de Recer of the Port Olímpic, as well as the Rosa dels Vents square and the new Trenca Ones promenade, become great citizen viewpoints to comfortably watch the start and finish of the races and the development of the races. The Port Olímpic is also the base for the 12 teams of the Unicredit Youth America's Cup and the 12 teams of the Puig Women's America's Cup.

Access to the Recer Dic is free of charge. To ensure the comfort, safety and flow of those locals who want to enjoy the competitions from here, a single access from the Muelle de Gregal and three exits have been set up.

Mobility for the America's Cup

Access to the area will be guaranteed to everyone on foot, by bicycle or public transport.

Access by private vehicle may be restricted at certain times and places, depending on the number of visitors. Therefore, we recommend prioritizing public transportation for easier access and improved sustainability.

It is recommendable to plan your movements in the area in advance and look for the best alternative.

Once in Port Olímpic, you can access it from three points: if you come on foot or by public transport, you can enter through the Marina access or through Litoral Avenue. If you come from the beach, the most direct access is the one that connects with Nova Icària beach.
