This Sunday, January 26, the Port Olímpic will host a new concert of “KBr Live”, the cultural program resulting from the agreement between the Port Olímpic, the MAPFRE Foundation and the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB) to incorporate photography and the performing arts into the Port's family program.
The concert will be at 12:30 pm, at the Moll de Mestral, and will be given by the Fundació Conservatori Liceu. They will perform pieces inspired by French jazz of the mid-twentieth century, the period in which Henri Cartier-Bresson lived, the protagonist of the exhibition Henri Cartier-Bresson. Watch! Watch! Watch!, which can be visited until this weekend at the KBr Fundación MAPFRE photography center.
As part of this collaboration with the Fundación Conservatorio Liceo, the department of Jazz and Modern Music of the musical institution brings some of its most outstanding students to perform a repertoire inspired by French Jazz of the mid-twentieth century, with special attention to Jazz Manouche, a genuinely French style linked to exceptional musicians such as Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli and Michel Legrand.
The “KBr Live” program will be extended throughout the year with concerts and other music and dance activities related to the program of the KBr photography center and the collections of the Fundación MAPFRE Collections, the result of the agreement recently signed between Fundación MAPFRE, the Olympic Port and ICUB. This agreement aims to offer photography exhibitions, music, dance and family activities related to photography, at the Port Olímpic.
