“Dijous de Vent”: first edition of the regatta of Port Olímpic, which brings sailing closer to the citizens

» The event, free of charge, combines sailing with expert sailors and a visit to the Balcó Gastronòmic of Port Olímpic

Port Olímpic celebrates the first edition of “Dijous de Vent”, an initiation regatta open to the public that aims to bring sailing to new audiences. The first edition took place this Thursday and was attended by 35 participants chosen by draw.

The activity is aimed at people with no previous sailing experience, as well as professionals or sailing enthusiasts and offers the opportunity to join, for an afternoon, the crew of one of the boats of the nautical companies of Port Olímpic. This first edition has been led by Masnavega and has had the active participation of Business Yacht Club, Escuela Puerto, Neptuno, BDA Sailing, Sailing Experience and Wind Charters. Once in the port, participants also enjoyed refreshments at the restaurant Casa Carmen of Balcó Gastronòmic.

With this initiative, which will be repeated in July, September and October, Port Olímpic reaffirms its commitment to bring sailing to the people of Barcelona and generate community through shared experiences at sea.

Participation in these citizen regattas is completely free and is managed by a draw, through the Instagram profile of Port Olímpic (@portolimpicbarcelona).
