The session will take place at the Espai Mestral from 17.00 to 19.30 and will feature an introductory presentation on the blue occupation by Anna Majó, director of strategic sectors and innovation of Barcelona Activa. Then, Celia Murcia, founder and CEO of Blue-jobs, an occupation platform specialized in the field of marine sciences; Jaume Pla, founder and CEO of Seavices, a startup that facilitates and streamlines the hiring of nautical services; and Xavi Cuerpo, head of studies at the Barcelona Nautical Institute, will delve into the blue occupation through a participatory debate open to attendees.

Specifically, in this first meeting, based on the open participation and experiences shared by the attendees, the new job opportunities that are emerging in areas such as marine biotechnology, smart port management, ocean renewable energies or sustainable nautical activities will be addressed; how universities and professional training centers can adapt to these new needs; and some success stories will also be analyzed.

Logo A Bordo.Pro

A Bordo.Pro is an innovation and transformation initiative that uses the sea as a stage and engine of change for public and private organizations, professionals and entrepreneurs. With a clear focus on triple impact (environmental, economic and social), it designs open innovation strategies and co-creation programs that integrate sustainability, digitalization and collaboration among stakeholders.

Through the #ABordoLab initiative, it drives living labs and open innovation ecosystems to the ports of Catalonia, where tests and solutions can be made in real environments and collaborative projects with tangible impact can be developed.

To reinforce these learning and transformation processes, A Bordo.Pro has its own methodology #BlendedLearningABordo, which combines classroom, virtual and immersive training on board sailing ships to enhance leadership, creativity and connection between people and territories.
