Port Olímpic has acquired a new robot to facilitate the collection of solid waste and hydrocarbons from the water surface, in such a way that it allows remote cleaning of difficult-to-access areas with complete safety. On the other hand, the robot is also capable of autonomously cleaning a defined area with fixed obstacles using random movements. This is the first model of its kind (Jellyfishbot by Iadys) in Spain, although it has already been successfully implemented in other municipalities and organizations in France, Monaco, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, Norway, Finland, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. In this way, we continue with the commitment to turn the Port Olímpic into an innovative space in terms of environmental management and aligned with the sustainable development objectives SDG 2030. |
